A Different Kind of Learning
Most approaches to pain or limitation focus on strengthening or stretching specific muscles. The Feldenkrais Method works differently — it engages your brain’s natural capacity to learn and reorganize movement patterns at a fundamental level.
Through guided movement sequences and gentle hands-on work, you become more aware of how you habitually organize yourself, and discover easier, more efficient alternatives. The changes tend to be lasting because they happen through genuine learning, not compensation.
Who Can Benefit?
The Feldenkrais Method is for anyone who wants to move more comfortably and learn more effectively — whether you are recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, seeking to improve athletic or artistic performance, or simply curious about moving with greater ease and awareness.
What It Can Help With
People come to Feldenkrais for many reasons: back and neck pain, post-surgical recovery, neurological conditions, sports and performance enhancement, stress and anxiety, balance and fall prevention, and the general wear of daily life. The common thread is a desire to move and live more comfortably.
Awareness Through Movement
Group classes in which a practitioner verbally guides participants through a sequence of gentle, exploratory movements. Lessons are done lying down, sitting, or standing — no special clothing or prior experience is required. Each lesson leaves you feeling lighter, clearer, and more at ease in your body.
Functional Integration
Individual sessions in which a practitioner uses gentle touch and movement to communicate directly with your nervous system. Fully clothed, you rest comfortably on a low table while the practitioner guides your movement in ways that help you sense new possibilities. Sessions are tailored entirely to your needs.
